Letter of authority
By signing, you authorise Med Services Ltd (trading as Stillrate) to:
- request your meter details, consumption history, contract dates and prices from your current energy supplier(s) and network operators, for the supply points we hold for your venue;
- request quotes for gas and electricity supply from suppliers on our panel; and
- discuss your supply with those suppliers.
This authority does not let us agree a contract, change your supplier or make any payment for you. Those only happen if you accept a quote. You can withdraw this authority at any time in your account. It lasts 12 months unless you withdraw it sooner.
How we are paid: commission disclosure
We do not charge you for energy services. The supplier you choose pays us a commission, which is included in the unit rate you pay. Every quote shows:
- the commission in pence per kWh;
- an estimate of the total commission over the contract, based on your expected consumption.
The commission does not change during the contract unless the supplier tells you otherwise. Suppliers on our panel may pay different commission rates; we will always show you the quotes we obtain, including the cheapest available to us.
Our responsibility
We present quotes accurately as we receive them from suppliers. Prices are set by suppliers, depend on market conditions and your credit, and can change until a contract is agreed. Your contract is with the supplier, on the supplier's terms. Our liability is limited as set out in our terms of business, section 6.
Complaints and disputes
Tell us first using our complaints procedure. If we can't resolve your complaint within 8 weeks, or you are unhappy with our final response, and you are a microbusiness, you can refer it free of charge to an approved dispute resolution scheme, which we'll name before you sign an energy contract through us.
