Is your venue paying too much?
Rateable values for hotels, restaurants, pubs and bars rose by about a third in April. Type your postcode to see what the Valuation Office thinks your venue is worth, and how that compares with the venues around you. Then, if you want, we take it from there.

We take it from there
Software reads the figures, a chartered surveyor reviews them, and we email you the result in about two working days. If there's a case, you see the saving and the fee before you say yes.
Every venue, whatever its size
Most rating firms won't look at a property valued under £30,000, which rules out the majority of pubs and a lot of restaurants. Our software does the reading and the arithmetic, so we check every hospitality venue in England and Wales, free.
- If there's a saving worth having, we pursue it, however small.
- Small venues can gain the most: a modest cut can bring a single-site business into small business rate relief.
- If there's no case, we tell you, and we only file where the evidence supports it.
| Venue (10% reduction) | Rateable value | Saving to 2029 | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Village pub | £15,500 | £6,020 | £5,117 |
| Town-centre pub | £25,000 | £2,340 | £1,989 |
| Restaurant | £40,000 | £4,584 | £3,896 |
| Hotel | £150,000 | £19,350 | £16,448 |
Who actually does the work
Software finds the case. A person you can name signs it off. Nothing is filed with the Valuation Office without a chartered rating surveyor's name against it.

Questions
Is the check really free?
Yes. Checking costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything. If we find a saving worth pursuing, you see the likely saving and our fee before you decide.
Do you check small venues?
Yes. There's no minimum rateable value. For some very small venues, small business rate relief already removes the bill; if so, we tell you there's nothing to gain.
What does it cost if you find a saving?
15% of the business rates saving to the end of the current rating list in March 2029, capped at £20,000. Nothing if there's no saving. Fees in full.
Who sees my bills and figures?
Only you, anyone you invite from your business, and the surveyor and staff on your case. Every view is logged. Security and data.
Can't I challenge my rates myself?
You can, free, through your business rates valuation account on GOV.UK. We charge for the evidence, the professional judgement and the time it takes, and only when it saves you money.
How long does it take?
Your result usually takes about two working days. The Valuation Office can take many months to decide a Challenge; you see every step and deadline in your account, and we email you when anything changes.
